At Greenspace we offer free initial consultation to discuss your landscaping needs.

Visits normally take 1 hour and, if you require it, we can produce an estimate for you just 24 hours later.

"Good design is a lot like clear thinking made visual."

Edward Tufte

If you‘d like a design for your garden - or a particular aspect of it - we’ll develop a concept that suits your needs, budget and property.

Firstly, that will involve a site visit to take measurements. We can then meet you on site again to present the finished concept ideas.

Our plans will be drawn, scaled and include a perspective sketch to help you visualise at least one key aspect of the design. We will also make any changes and amendments that you’d like to see.

"A design isn’t finished until somebody is using it.

Brenda Laurel

With your continued guidance and approval, we’ll expand the design to a point when planning and actual construction can begin. Once that’s done we can also help with:

Estimates and pricing

We will make a preliminary costing, based on the initial concept plan. The estimated cost can help you to decide if you’d like to go ahead with the entire concept, or whether you’d prefer to complete it in stages.

Project management

We can:

  • Coordinate the required engineers calculations, drawings and documentation to obtain a building consent.
  • Liaise with the council about your resource consent and make any amendments where necessary.
  • Prepare construction drawings for ‘set out.’

Once the planning is complete, the hard and soft landscaping can begin.

At Greenspace, we always aim to complete the project to a high quality of finish. Where specialist work is needed, or particular tradespeople are required, we can call upon trusted colleagues to deliver a finish that we – and you – are proud of.

"A garden requires patient labour and attention. Plants do not grow merely to satisfy ambitions or to fulfill good intentions. They thrive because someone expended effort on them."

Liberty Hyde Bailey

To fully establish a new garden, you’ll need to maintain it so the spaces develop as you planned them to.

We can offer a comprehensive garden programme and skilled gardeners to tend your investment and help it thrive.
